Jon Lucien:What can one say when a voice like Jon's is silenced?A voice that reached way into our souls with it's depth -both in register and feeling - to move us in a way that onlybeautiful music can. Beyond the voice was the man:kind and gentle, loving and aware. We will all miss him,but thank God that we have his music with us here forever.Sing on Jon...from Smooth Jazz Guitarist..Chuck Loeb...www.chuckloeb.comCHUCK LOEB “PRESENCE” CD(Telarc Records)

Tribute to the Legacy of Jon Lucien...Sincerity and passion became the hallmark of his voice.Flowing melodies pierced the soul of the listener.Notes on musical scores brought to life. This man, great as he is known, has gone to Heaven. There, his voice will lead a choir of angels.God will witness the achievement in this man.We are left with sadness, but also hope.It is the music that will dry the saddest tear.We accept that he passed, but never to forget. As each song is replayed, Jon reenters the room.Happier moments are ahead because of his sound.Let us breathe new life into our listening. His many messages can now be better understood. In this way, our mourning turns to testimony.Jon lived so we could benefit through his efforts.Much good entered the world when he was born.God decided it was his time, we accept that.Camaraderie of friends and family carry the day.We will see Jon again, we know this.Till then, let the music play.Farewell, sweet greatly gifted friend.Rest now as the great stage of Heaven awaits you.Enter proudly as a deserving child of God.And still, the music keeps playing. All else is commentary... Dr. Eric A. KreuterOceanlight Records Executive Producer& Author of “Love’s Journey Book”

I was blessed...to have been able to appear in concert withMr. Lucien back in the 70's when I was touring withRamsey Lewis as a BG Singer/keyboards.We did severalshows with him, and he was truly a classy gentleman andphenomenal talent. I cut my singing chops on his version of”Dindi”, and his music kept me sane throughout the turbulentcollege years 1968-1972. That's right, I'm old. But if I were anyyounger, I would have missed a wonderful memory featuringthe immortal Jon Lucien May God rest his soul in peace...throughout eternity. Dear Family of Mr. Jon Lucien...Please accept my sincerecondolences to you during this time of loss. Through ourmutual friend and colleague, Bernadette Brown, I had thehonor of working on projects that also featuredthe great Jon Lucien ...His participation in those collective endeavorswere central to their vibrance, beauty and relevance.Though I never met Jon in person along this journey of life,I am a fan. Parallel lives, I suppose, that did not cross.Yet, somehow, somewhere on the horizon ahead our linesdo seem to converge. We are connected through shared artisticchallenges, the commitment to authenticity, and an all-encompassing love that is so clearlythe very essence of his music. God bless you, and thank youfor the gift of Jon Lucien I would love to meet you someday,in recognition and celebration of the spirit that sustains us...Darryl Tookeswww.darryltookes.net”JOURNEY TO THE HIEROS GAMOS” CD(Hieros Entertainment, LLC)
